Using Mrs. Rowlands' papyrus (King Tut) plant from this summer, we attempted our first homemade paper! This was an open investigation, which means that the children had no guidance to making this paper, they simply were encouraged to use their small group, communication and their own minds to see if they could come up with an idea. We were impressed with the results and how close they were to the instructional video we watched at the end of the experiment.
